Welcome to this desert retreat, a Spanish ranch styled home located near Ruth Hardy Park in the historic old Movie Colony area of Palm Springs… Within 5 minutes of the airport! On a quiet residential street, relaxation begins when you arrive at the house greeted by two grapefruit trees in the front yard, and panoramic views of the San Jacinto Mountains. The home was built in 1936 and has maintained most of its original charm and character.
The main house features two bedrooms, both with queen beds, a bonus room with a queen sofa sleeper, and two 3/4 bathrooms.. The spacious living room has wood beamed ceiling and a gas fireplace to use during the crisp winter months, A/C and a swamp cooler for those 100’ days, and Saltillo tile flooring throughout the entire house. The original kitchen is fully equipped, and dining area will comfortably seat six people. There are three entrances from the house to the courtyard-fountain, and the gas grill for entertaining. The deep lot and backyard is very private, surrounded by a six foot wall. It’s fully landscaped with bougainvilleas, cactus, mesquite tree, and four beautiful palm trees which tower over the salt water-heated, pool (there is no spa). Although the sun shines all afternoon, there are areas to relax in the shade underneath the trees. Also in the back yard is the guest house, which features a queen bed, 3/4 bathroom and kitchen… easy accessibility when swimming and relaxing in the back yard.
The home has cable, two TV’s, WiFi, security system, there is no land line phone.
